Alastair
Willis served as Resident Conductor
of the Seattle Symphony from
2002-2003, after having held the
post of Assistant Conductor of that
orchestra since September 2000. He
previously held the position of
Assistant Conductor with the
Cincinnati Symphony and Pops
Orchestras and Music Director of the
Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra.
This past season (2005-06) featured
him at the podium with the San
Francisco Symphony and the Houston
Symphony (July, 2005), the New York
Philharmonic (November, 2005), the
Philadelphia Orchestra (December,
2005) and the orchestras of New
Jersey,... more Winnipeg, San
Antonio, Virginia, Omaha, and
Kitchener-Waterloo.
He will return to the San Francisco
Symphony in July, 2006 and will lead
both the Nashville Symphony
Orchestra and the Nashville Opera as
well as the orchestras of Omaha and
Kitchener-Waterloo in the 2006-07
season. He makes his Carnegie Hall
debut with the New York Pops in
December, 2006.
