The Tulsa Symphony Orchestra
A Community Service Organization
Ways to Give
To have great poets, Walt Whitman once
wrote, there must be great audiences.
The same holds true for having a great
symphony and this is where you come in.
The Tulsa Symphony Orchestra will
strengthen, improve, and enrich our
community in ways both immediate and
long-term, but we need your help to do so.
Join us as we set forth to fortify and
enliven the Tulsa community as only a great
orchestra can!
TSO is a
charitable organization under the provisions
of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue
Code. Donations, bequests and transfers are
deductible for federal income, estate, and
gift tax purposes
Please consider making a donation at one of
the following levels:
A. Support the General Operations Fund
Giving to this fund helps cover the
day-to-day operations of the TSO. This is
the most basic way to give.
B. Give to the Endowment Fund
Endowment gifts are prized not just as
presentations of significant capital but as
expressions of lasting commitment to what
the TSO is, and what we stand for: to our
mission and our values as a performing-arts
collective. Endowments help to form the
foundation on which an organization like the
TSO must be built. Endowments foster
money-in-the-bank presence, economic
soundness, and institutional might.
C. Concert Series Sponsor
Corporations, companies, firms, and
individuals are welcome to sponsor a
complete series of concerts.
Such sponsors
will be:
Allotted full and visible publicity in all
advertising coming from the TSO for the
2006-2007 season, including mailings, TV,
the Web, posters, brochures, and more.
Asked to assist with the selection of
Guest Artists.
Given 10 (ten) Orchestra seats plus an
additional 200 general admission seats per
subscription concert (for their
employees/guests).
Invited to a special pre-concert champagne
reception for each subscription concert.
Granted a special TSO ensemble performance
to occur at your home or business.
D. Sponsor a Single Concert:
Big Pops or Big Classics
Sponsors of a single concert will receive:
Full publicity for the concert sponsored.
Eight (8) Orchestra Seats for the
sponsored concert event.
E. Chamber Series Sponsor:
Special Smaller Orchestral and Jazz Series
Sponsors of a chamber series will help bring
the TSO into different parts of the
community. For example:
Classic Swing Series, with host Donald
Ryan.
Sacred Sundays, featuring Choirs and/or
Soloists from various religious
organizations in Northeastern Oklahoma.
Concerts to be given at different venues.
F.
Education: Orchestral Interaction
Sponsors of these concerts will help deliver
the TSO directly to the schools; the music
and the inspiration will reach students of
all ages throughout our region.
The TSO will prepare all educators in
advance.
The TSO will adhere to the National
Standards for Arts Education.
G. Education: Meet the Orchestra
Sponsors of these concerts will assist in
the TSOs goal of teaching students the
different families, sounds, and
configurations of the orchestra.
We will primarily aim at the pre-K,
elementary and middle school populations.
These concerts will focus on telling
students about the instruments and the
music made by such instruments.
Our musicians are trained to create
innovative, accessible, and highly
interactive programs.
It is the TSOs goal to develop a direct,
open, and long-term relationship with future
audiences.
H.
Community Service
The TSO is a community service organization;
put simply, all that this orchestra
performs, presents, and plans for is geared
toward making this community a better place
in which to live, work, and grow. Sponsors
who give to our Community Service fund will
thereby be lending support to our efforts to
play at retirement communities, recreation
centers, free-to-the-public venues, and so
forth.
I.
Legacy Giving
The Tulsa Symphony Orchestra welcomes
private gifts made in tribute to, or in
memory of, a special friend or family
member. Such a donation is always a fine and
charitable way to honor or remember a
particular music lover or arts patron.
J. Sponsoring a Chair or Section
Donating funds to finance a chair or section
of the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra ensures the
sponsor of attaching his or her name to that
chair or section. Thus it also ensures
widespread notice, eye-catching prestige,
and philanthropic distinction. |
