Current Tulsa Community, State and National Service:

Current Chairman of the Oklahoma Heritage Association (telling Oklahoma’s story through its People), serving on the Mayor’s Arts Task Force, serving on The University of Tulsa board of directors, serving on the “new” Tulsa Symphony Orchestra board, Philbrook Art Museum, Gilcrease Western Art Museum. Serving on the National Council for the Performing Arts – Kennedy Center, Washington D.C.

 

Past service: Chairman of the Philbrook and Gilcrease Museums, Tulsa Town Hall, Tulsa Philharmonic, served on the State Arts Council, Tulsa Opera, Tulsa Ballet, The National Symphony Orchestra – Kennedy Center – Washington DC.

 

Honors:

-Oklahoma Hall of Fame

-Two Governor’s Arts Award – Oklahoma Arts Council

-The University of Tulsa Distinguished Alum Award

-The President’s Outstanding Service Award

-100th year anniversary National Humanitarian Award from the National Jewish Medical and Research Center

-Honorary Award of the Juliette Low leadership Society of the Girls Scouts

About the TSO...

The Tulsa Symphony Orchestra employs professional musicians with the focused, collective, and ongoing aim of presenting all kinds of music of the highest quality. The TSO functions throughout the year, and is comprised of self-governing “executive musicians”—individuals who perform masterful music and execute the many decisions involved in sustaining a major orchestra. With a variety of performances and concerts, in-school events, community-engagement programs, classroom lessons, collaborative master classes, and other such appearances, the TSO intends to invigorate and broaden arts education all across the City of Tulsa and, further, the State of Oklahoma. Rebuilding and strengthening the musical arts infrastructure of this city and its environs will remain a key concern and core value of the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra.
