“To foster, inspire and enrich a lifelong relationship with music among people of all ages.”

Young People’s Concerts

Elementary and middle school students and teachers from across the region have the irreplaceable cultural experience of attending a live concert by Tulsa’s premiere professional orchestra in varoius concert halls across the community. Our Carnegie Hall Link Up  program provides 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders the opportunity to learn about orchestral repertoire through the composer’s lense and to learn and perform repertoire alongside the Tulsa Symphony. Thanks to an ongoing partnership with Any Given Child – Tulsa, and to parnterships with various school districts in the region, Link Up with reach as many as 12,000 students and teacher from across the region in 2016-2017.

Education Around Town

Throughout each season the TSO ventures out from its home in Chapman Music Hall at the Tulsa PAC to collaborate with various organizations and schools to offer unique and engaging learning experiences for Oklahoma students. TSO is proud to partner with the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa through the Artists-in-the-Schools program to present enhanced cultural experiences that integrate with school curricula to develop well-rounded, creative children. Each season TSO sends various chamber ensembles into the schools to present engaging cross-curricular programs that illuminate connections between core curriculum studies and the arts. Our new Artists-in-Residence program, also a partnership with AHCT, offers students the opportunity to learn from and perform with a Tulsa Symphony soloist.

Special Programs

TSO engages in a variety of programs that ensure students of all ages and from across the region benefit from having a professional orchestra right here in Tulsa.

Summer Music

TSO recognizes the need for learning to continue even when the orchestra season is done each year. We offer various summer music programs to support student learning and cultural experiences year-round.
